The 14th Annual CTASLA
Golf Outing was held at Lyman Orchards Golf
Club on October 7, 2011. Nearly 20 foursomes enjoyed a
sunny autumn day, 18 holes of golf on the Robert Trent
Jones-designed course, the buffet dinner that followed,
and complimentary take-home apple pie.
During the presentation of awards and prizes, it was
announced that the CTASLA student scholarship will be
renamed the Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial
Scholarship. The scholarship is provided for
students who are pursuing an education in the field of
Landscape Architecture, and has historically been funded
by the annual CTASLA Golf Outing event through the
generous support of our players and sponsors. Karen was
a founding member of the CTASLA Golf Outing Committee
and a driving force in the development of our
scholarship.
We greatly appreciate sponsorship support for this
