The 12th Annual CTASLA Golf Outing was
held at Lyman Orchards Golf Club on October 20th. We
avoided soggy shoes with a last-minute decision to
reschedule the outing (originally scheduled for Oct.
16), due to a forecasted nor’easter. Nearly 90
participants enjoyed what turned out to be a classic
autumn day - sunny and in the low 60s. Many
of the old faces were there, but also some new players
to enjoy the golf, the on-links camaraderie, the buffet
dinner, and complimentary take-home apple pie.
There were many generous donations for our raffle, and a
few new sponsors joined our ranks (please see the list
of winners and sponsors). Most importantly, despite the
challenging economy and the reduction in number of
players, we were able to equal last year's fundraising
efforts, which will ultimately allow the chapter to
provide scholarships
for promising landscape architecture students. Many
thanks to the participants and sponsors.
The 2010 CTASLA Golf Outing has been scheduled for
Friday, October 8, again at Lyman Orchards. Look for
more information to follow!
