We hope that you and your families are healthy and hunkered down. These past several weeks have been immensely difficult for all of us.
The rapid spread of COVID-19 has radically altered the way we conduct business as well as interact socially with our families, friends, and communities. Anxiety about furloughs, unemployment, illness, and social isolation are increasing as the pandemic spreads exponentially. We cannot control the circumstances of this crisis, but we can choose how we respond.
Resiliency is part and parcel of our profession. The principles that guide our design thinking are equally applicable to engendering toughness and flexibility in our own lives. Whatever this new normal is, I know that we’ll find a way to make it work.
To that end, our chapter is retooling its operations for the coming months to
provide remote programming and support. The Executive Board will plan to share pertinent updates from ASLA, LA CES, and other organizations on a regular basis. Please keep an eye on your inbox. We will post the same information to the chapter website as well.
The following resources are intended to assist you with adapting your practice and maintaining your personal well-being during these trying times. If you need further assistance or just want to share some ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Tips or resources can be sent to admin @ ctasla.org. We’re all in this together.
