Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees compliance with IWWA permits, conducting on-site inspections, investigating reported violations and overseeing the corrective action.

 

Maintains the database of IWWA permit applications, prepares statistical compilations, and presents quarterly reports.

 

Participates in meetings of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency.

 

Provides customer services during public counter hours.

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science or a related field, plus 2 years of related experience in the field of environmental science.

 

Certification as an Inlands Wetlands and Watercourses Agency (IWWA) Authorized Agent through Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) within 6 months of employment.
