EMERGING PROFESSIONALS

Our Emerging Professionals (EP) section provides associate Chapter members and recent graduates with opportunities for networking, licensure preparation, and professional development. Recent events have included LARE review sessions, bowling, adventure ropes courses, PARK(ing) Day, portfolio and resume reviews for UConn students, coffee klatches, and attendance at the 2019 Conference on Landscape Architecture in San Diego.

As part of growing the profession in Connecticut, CTASLA has been able to offered these experiences at no cost to Emerging Professionals thanks to the generous sponsorship provided by the following companies:

Besides free programming and events, the Emerging Professionals section also provides other career benefits for associate members:

  • Connections to potential future employers and mentors

  • Advance notice of job postings from CTASLA member firms

  • Grant funding for ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture travel expenses

  • Access to free LARE review sessions and licensure preparation study materials.

Interested in participating in the group? Nonmembers should contact ASLA to join CTASLA. Current associates members of the chapter can contact section co-chairs Myles Simon and Grant Losapio at emergingprofessionals@ctasla.org for the latest information and to be added to the email update listserv.
